We are seeking a talented and experienced Animal Crossing Superfan to join our game development team as a Game Design Consultant. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for Animal Crossing and a proven track record of developing and implementing creative ideas for games. As a Game Design Consultant, you will serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to our development team in the creation of a new online game with elements inspired by Animal Crossing. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the game is engaging, immersive, and appeals to Animal Crossing fans.
Responsibilities:
Game Design

• Provide expert guidance and recommendations to the development team on the creation of a new online game with elements inspired by Animal Crossing.
• Develop and implement creative ideas for game mechanics, gameplay, and user experience, ensuring the game is engaging, immersive, and appeals to Animal Crossing fans.
• Collaborate with the game art and design teams to ensure the game’s aesthetics and narrative align with the Animal Crossing brand and style.

Collaboration

• Work closely with game designers, artists, and programmers to ensure the game mechanics and design are implemented effectively and efficiently.
• Participate in regular design meetings and provide feedback on other design aspects, particularly as they relate to the Animal Crossing fan community.

Research and Analysis

• Conduct research and analysis on the Animal Crossing fan community, including trends, behaviors, and preferences, to inform the development of the new game.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and game design trends, particularly as they relate to Animal Crossing and similar games.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in playing Animal Crossing
• Strong proficiency in game design and development concepts, with experience in developing creative ideas for games.
• Deep knowledge of Animal Crossing and its game mechanics, aesthetics, and narrative.
• Familiarity with game design tools and software, such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or GameMaker Studio.

Mentality:

• Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Passion for Animal Crossing and eagerness to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and game design trends.
